After School Art Studio

Allen After School Art Studio!  


Allen will begin After School Art Studio starting Thursday August 26th, and repeat every Thursday until the end of the 1st semester for any interested 4th and 5th graders! Any of those students interested in broadening their art making skills and material knowledge beyond the regular school day are encouraged to sign up! Each meeting will rotate into a new set of media to explore! Materials subject to change as needed. This includes painting, printmaking, clay, fiber art, drawing, collaging, and more! The semester will end in an art show showcasing student work made throughout the semester.

The first thirty 4th and 5th graders to complete all the necessary requirements for sign ups will be accepted, so sign up ASAP during sign ups!

Application forms and sign up sheets will be available Thursday August 12th until Tuesday August 17th in the front office!

Sign Up Requirements/ Application Process:

Interested students must complete all fields of the application form, and turn in applications to  the art studio application drop box in the front office by August 17th. Students must also sign and date the sign up sheet in the office along with their applications.

Permission Form requirements:

Students who completed all necessary sign up requirements on time will be given permission forms on Wednesday August 18th from their homeroom teacher to take home, and will have until Wednesday August 25th to turn in their signed forms AND studio fee to the front office. The studio fee will be $25 for the semester. This will cover the cost of materials and supplies. More membership and meeting details to be included on permission forms.

NO STUDENTS MAY ATTEND AFTER SCHOOL MEETINGS WITHOUT THE SIGNED PERMISSION OF A PARENT OR GUARDIAN.

***Students who neglect to turn in their fee by the first meeting, August 26th, may attend the first meeting as long as they have signed permission from a parent or guardian. However, their fee will be due by the following meeting, September 2nd. Failure to turn in the fee will result in the student(s) not being allowed to attend and participate until payment is made. Any students or families who find trouble in paying the fee in full please reach out to Ms. Loeffler at loeffler_rachel@hcde.org to arrange payment options, or apply for scholarship. No student shall be discouraged from signing up due to money and financial concerns.
