Allen After School Art Studio will begin October 3rd on Thursdays for interested 4th and 5th graders! Enthusiastic, creative, and self disciplined students are encouraged to sign up. Meetings will rotate into various sets of media to explore. This includes painting, printmaking, clay making, fiber art, drawing, collaging, crafting, and more!
Application deadline will be Friday September 13th.. Ms. Loeffler will choose no more than 15 fourth and fifth graders. Those chosen will be based on a mixture of first come first serve as well as students’ academic standing, consistent display of responsible behavior/readiness to learn during school, and complete/ well done applications. *Also taken into consideration is whether or not the student has participated in art studio in previous years. Those who have not may receive priority over those who have.

There will be a 25$ fee collected from those accepted to cover the cost of materials and supplies for the year. Fees are not to be turned in with applications; only after membership has been confirmed with permission forms that get sent home . Students in art studio are expected to demonstrate exemplary behavior and good academic standing. Students can not be accepted or removed if they have shown inability or inconsistency to demonstrate responsibility, self-discipline, readiness to learn, respect, and/or on academic probation.

Students are to fill ALL parts of the application and turn all requested items in on time by the signup deadline. Incomplete applications can result in priority consideration of other applicants who have completed all fields/requirements.
